		<description>Hi, nice little post on the basic steps you need to take. Linking images locally normally isn&#039;t too much of a worry if you&#039;re using a hosted mass mail service, it&#039;s where the importance of testing the email comes in though!

		<description>Great tips about the slicing and dicing, exact urls, and of course the reminder to use alt text. It&#039;s amazing how many people don&#039;t. I once got an email from a business magazine. The only text that showed up with images off was their mailing address. (snail mail) The magazine name wasn&#039;t even mentioned. 

I&#039;d also add that one should include a suitably descriptive subject line.  While that is more a matter of staying on message than about code, it will help people decide whether to turn their images on if they open the message.
